The use of an accelerator is recommended to ensure uniformity of cure.
The resin accelerator also known as a catalyst, is used in a two part polyurethane resin mix to speed up the curing time.
The curing time of Resin bound stone starts to decrease when applied at temperatures below 15 °C, and therefore an accelerator must be used, as this can lead to contamination of the surface and uneven curing.
Instructions for use:
Mix the part A of the resin first as normal. The accelerator is then added using the syringe provided (check table below for dosage rates), mix for 20 seconds, then add to the part B. Continue as normal.
